At a first glance Kai looks pretty cold and intimidating and possibly even arrogant. But he’s FAR from that, he’s a gentle soul that loves to cherish things and people with every bit of his heart. Kai can relate to pretty much everyone, he has a good head on his shoulder and, yes you guessed it…Common sense!

Kai is not one to be fooled or taken advantage of, though kind by nature he doesn’t let people take advantage of him. He usually just confronts them about it and asks them to stop or he just simply walks away.

Kai would rather disable his opponent than kill them, he’s defiantly not a fan of killing; let alone fighting (which he tends to avoid as much as he can).

He is one of those people that would do anything for the people he loves but he doesn’t trust easily. Kai does have trust issues and usually tends to hide those ‘issues’ and carries on like nothings wrong. Along with physical fights, Kai defiantly hates verbal arguments, especially heated ones.

Zanpakutô Spirit:

STAR: Kai’s Zanpakuto spirit is that of an angel names Star. Much like Kai, Star has a very gentle. She acts as a mother figure to Kai most of the time and teaches him how to be loving and caring…and above all to have a head on his shoulders. Star isn’t violent but will show more aggression if Kai is in serious trouble.

Shikai Abilities:

Since Kai is a non agressive person it's only natural that his powers be the same. Kai's shikai allows him to change peopels moods(What people are feeling).If their angry he can change it to calm est. This ability can effect a singel person or as much as seven at a time. This ability is ONLY for healing purposes, for the wounded to help them ignor the pain and what not.

With that being said, Kai is able to creat shields of water to protect him or who ever else is around him. The stronger the attacker is, the less the shield would prove to be usefull(tiers 1 and 0 his shields have difficulty holding up against, it becomes more of a struggel for him to maintain it when someone of those tiers attack. He uses more energy to keep the shield up and thus, weakening him).

Kai is also able to heal with the water. He cant bring someone back from the 'dead' but he can heal injuries that can be life threatning. If somene loses a limb, he cant make it grow back but he can heal it so blood loss will come to a stop.

History/Background:
In Kai’s human life, he had a twin brother named Rai. They were inseparable they ate the same thing, drank, read, watched, wore and even dreamed the same things at times. Kai was the oldest of the twins by a few minitues so he often thought that he’d have to look after his ‘younger’ brother. They boys grew up in a very poor section of Japan. Their father left them and their mother was extremely ill; the boys had to look after her and tough it out if anyone tried to steal what little they had from them. Their mother died when they were only ten years old, which had a huge impact on the boys; they became more resentful of anyone else that tried to take their mothers place, they gave quite a bit of attitude too. Social workers had came through their village by chance and noticed that the boys were alone without a parent or guardian (Keep in mind that they weren’t third world poor, they were just poor). It didn’t take them long before they were tossed into a foster home. Kai and Rai agreed that no matter what that they’d do whatever it took to keep them together and safe, there family was already torn apart they didn’t need anything else separating them…each other; the last family they had to count on.

Every foster family that came and showed interest in adopting the boys were usually turned away because they boys did whatever they could to stay out of a different family, in truth they were afraid of having a family in fear of losing them all again.

A couple years passed and the boys were now fifteen, just turned in fact. Their real father somehow managed to track them down and showed up at the foster homes front step the day of their fifteenth birthday. They boys really didn’t know what to say to that…their father was a wealthy man that was living in the most upper class part of Japan this whole time…

They boys couldn’t believe that their father was actually making an effort to make peace with them. He offered his sons to live with him and get a private touter and everything; their father had remarried and since then had another son. A couple of weeks had passes since the twins moved in with their father, he had desided that he wanted to catch up with his sons so he took them out for a camping trip. Little did they know he was planning to get rid of them; he had lead them to a cliff that had a beautiful over view of the forest...when the boys were admiring the scence...their father simply pushed them off the edge and watched them scream in terrror as they fell to their death. The last thing Kai remembered before dying was looking over at his brother while they fell and their father just standing at the top...watching them...with no expression on his face...

Kai's journy was strange, instead of white clouds and angels...it was different....
Kai dosent remember how he bacame a shinigami, he only remembers that he heard voices, a red ribbon and a woman that looked much like an angel; who then became his spirit, Star. Everything happened quickly, because of his nature he was put into squad 4. He was a healer, a bit differnt from other healers, he discovered that his favourite ability was to change peoples moods. Those who were in pain and anxious he was able to chage it to calm and worrie free. His life as a shinigami was typical: train and heal the wounded that were braught in.
